Viva la gender variance! There are many ways to change up how feminine or masculine you sound. Check out the voice feminization and voice masculinization pages on this website. Most people do not 'live' at one end of the spectrum, particularly when it comes to communication; it is combination of features that determine where and how we are really perceived. It is, of course, easier to achieve smaller changes than bigger changes. On the other hand, if you are inclined to change back and forth along the gender spectrum depending on your mood or situation, that can be harder. It's all about practice and becoming in tune with how you sound as you manipulate your voice. It is possible to reach a point where your voice makes you feel more comfortable, safe, and true to you.
